Hello, my name is Marco Le Noir.
I have lived in Viterbo, the magnificent city of the Popes in the centre of the Tuscia, for many years.
I make my living as an astrologist and am well known throughout Italy and Southern Europe. My passion is…cats!
…Ever since I was a child I have always had a passion for cats of all breeds. When I was 8 years old I adopted my first kitten, Chicca, a blue tabby spotted European stray, who lived with me for many years. When I was 20 I began, by chance, to breed Persians and Exotics. In 1999 I discovered ANFI (Associazione Nazionale Felina Italiana) and joined this club with great enthusiasm and immediately began participating actively in the life of the regional club(at that time I was a member of the Umbria section) and showing my cats. I got a lot of satisfaction and my Persians won many prizes for me.
In 2001 I finally got the prefix “Dell’Oreade” for my cattery, drawing inspiration from the mountain nymphs of mythology. Since then many little “Oreads” have brought joy to the lives and homes of those lucky people who have had one of my kittens.
In 2003 came the turning point in my life: I discovered the Siamese and Orientals. The cats of the fourth category have always fascinated me from an aesthetic point of view: with their sinuous bodies, their many coloured coats like little panthers, their emerald and sapphire eyes, and their enormous ears opening like radar on to the world! The complete opposite of the round Persians who were sleeping placidly on my divans. In that period I began to frequent Siamese breeders who then became great friends and I owe to them the birth of my passion for these cats.
In 2004 the first Siamese entered my life, Nicka’s Ifigenia, a delightful lilac point: how wonderful it is to have a Siamese in the home! With a Siamese in the home life is never boring: these cats, in fact, unlike the placid Persians, never tire of their owner…they are always seeking cuddles and attention and protest very vocally if they are ignored. Always on the move and exploring everywhere ..they are specialists in searching through the bags of visitors.. carrying out excellent surveillance duties and providing an unusual welcome committee. Thanks to them I have been able to discover the happy and chatty personality of these strange felines. How could I not be enchanted by these cats? These cats who love travelling and people were made just for me…since then we have been indivisible and have travelled a long way together.
Following Ifigenia, came Flushing Meadows Lisistrata from Pistoia, Supa Lilli from Perugia and, from faraway Holland, my stud Koosje van Tutte’s He’s2good2bblue…Luano for his friends!Up until today I have been to many international shows all over Italy and been very happy to see that judges from the world over like my cats, awarding them prestigious prizes, from “Best of Variety” to “Best in Show”!!
Mt first kittens have arrived, fruit of an attentive selection aimed at enhancing the aesthetic and character traits of the parents to get healthy and beautiful kittens to bring joy to the homes of animal lovers just as my cats have brought to me!
I dedicate this site to my very dear friend Mirella Rodriguez Lo Savio, founder of the cattery “La Celsa”, author of the book “Il Gatto Persiano” and my “adoptive grandmother”! Mirella has recently left us and it is to her that I owe, not only some of the most beautiful Persians I have ever had, but also my love and knowledge of the feline world!
Thank you Mirella!!!
